It was 2008, and we were very clear about one thing — we wanted to keep our wedding small.
That plan survived until North met South, trains were almost missed, rituals collided, dosas disappeared faster than laddoos, dancing continued even after the music stopped… and then there were guns and the police.
Somewhere between Kanpur and Bangalore, control and letting go, order and chaos, life quietly created more space than we had planned for.
This isn’t really a wedding story.
It’s about what happens when two worlds meet — and neither fully wins.
